Getting Back Into Creating After You’ve Stopped…

It can be very challenging to get back into creating once you’ve stopped.

The “stop” mentioned, can be on purpose, but it is usually accidental. We usually get too busy and set our good behaviors (content creation) aside in favor of any number of things.

This happens to all of us – and it just happened to me. In fact, today was the first day I’ve created anything in the last 6 weeks!

How did I get out of my slump?!

I just decided to DO something.

Yes. It’s that simple. Just do SOMETHING.

It can be small – very small – but as soon as you make the decision to get back into good habits, even if it’s just a bit… you feel it.

You get the tiniest drop of dopamine.

Your brain releases dopamine when you achieve goals. It ALSO releases dopamine when you hop on social media and get likes & whatevers.

That is a trap.

Run from that.

Set a small goal, and complete it.

Today.

Not tomorrow.

Finish it before you go to bed tonight.

See how you feel… if you’re like me… you’ll already be thinking about what you’ll accomplish tomorrow…

This will snowball. All you have to do it set it in motion!

Onward.
