Jenny Denny Website Redesign

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Jenny Denny – an entrepreneur with one successful business, and a strong desire to create. Her latest venture brings forth a unique twist on the traditional beach-bag.

Specifically: Zip-Sift Technology

Are you a busy mom that loves to take your kids to the beach – but HATES cleaning sand and debris out of your bag after a rough day of play?

They you have to check these out.

Jenny told me she wasn’t happy with her current website design, but she didn’t know what to do about it. This is common, and one of the reasons I always start new business relationships with a consulting call.

We discussed the things she wanted:

Classy. Minimalist. Professional.

Got it. Let’s roll.

How it started…

Jenny Denny Handbags Website Redesign
Jenny Denny Handbags: Original Website Design

How it’s going…

As you can see, the original design is dull. The bags themselves are in exciting, vibrant colors – but the old website showed some black bags and used muted colors – the whole thing screamed BORING!

It’s not a boring product!

I introduced color while still keeping it minimal (we need to be careful not to lose the high-end vibe). This allows the bags themselves to take center stage. I also avoided stock images, because JD has killer photos to work with. Why water them down? I also added many trust indicators, and reworded most of the text so that is focused on the benefits to the customer – explaining the problem that Jenny’s bags solve.

This is only V1, so I’ll deliver it to her with a video summary to explain my thought process, and we’ll see what she thinks.

Edits (probably) coming soon – but we’re off to a great start!
